Photoshop Workshop | Odds & Ends

I would love to host a full day workshop on how to use photoshop…properly.

Maybe you need to relearn the basics and get into the advanced knitty gritty stuff? Or perhaps you are looking to find out more about retouching skin & body shapes? Or maybe you just want to learn how to make a proper selection? Whatever it is I am hoping to help you out.

I just graduated from a four year program at the Alberta College of Art & Design. The photography (Bdes) program had numerous courses on how to use photoshop professionally. I don’t want to be rude, but I am a little discouraged after seeing great photographs turn into digital MUCK because of the lack of knowledge of this amazing program. This workshop will teach you most of what I’ve learned over the years…with a twist: Color profiles, saving for web, jpg vs. raw, selections, retouching, sharpening, B & W conversions, retouching, file management, etc. The workshop is open to everyone, but you will need a current version of photoshop (cs3 or cs4). You can also bring your laptop to follow along, but I recomend bringing some paper and pens to write down your notes. This will be a full day affair (lunch included), so make sure you can stick around for the entire session.

The workshop will be held on November 7th, Saturday at 10 a.m – 5 p.m

I will try to rent a room at the Red Deer college, but if that fails, we will be hanging out at my location.

The fee to attend the workshop is $100.

Here’s a slideshow of my photoshop work over the past several years…

Thanks again to Kai for the amazing idea!

Mike Wiseman | Business Portraits

These are just a few from the VERY relaxed and FUN portrait session I shot. Mike, my beau, is a realtor in Red Deer for True North Realty. He asked me if I could take some casual and non-arrogant looking shots of him for his new site (coming soon). I think he’s quite handsome in these shots…but then again, I’m being biased!
