ERIN & DARREN | WEDDING IN RED DEER

I just wrapped up my last wedding of 2009. I had never considered the challenges of shooting a winter wedding before this December since we usually have mild and very dry winters….Needless to say, the mounds of snow & the crazy deep freeze came just in time to make me sweat about this wedding for most of December. I was nervous! Erin & Darren were so cool with my bazillion back up plans for every weather situation, but in the end…everything turned out perfect. We shot in -3 degree weather, which was considered balmy for the Manitobans in the bridal party. I really had a blast shooting this wedding: I met some great people, learned some new things from my second shooter Kai (Kai Smyth Photography), and learned to love winter all over again. Erin & Darren, thank you for your hospitality and for letting me take some of my favorite shots of 2009. Enjoy!

By the way, the beautiful floral arrangements were done by the folks at STEMS.

CELEBRATING ONE YEAR | PERSONAL

These are some of my favorite images from the past 12 months. I can’t believe I have being doing what I truly love to do for a year.

I thought I’d start out with posting a pic of myself. SWEET MUSTACHIO!

Thank you to everyone that has supported me in the past year. I had a great time with all my clients, and I can’t wait to do it all over again next year!

RED DEER DEEP FREEZE | PERSONAL

Mike and I are lucky enough to have a home based office, so we don’t always have to leave our house when it’s -50…

but to those who do: I RESPECT YOU! Please bundle up & stay happy! It’s almost Christmas time!

Here’s a photo of Mike I took this morning. I just love the light that comes in the room. It adds a layer of warmth to this house…which we need right now.

Congratulations on winning this epic contest. I have to say, there were times when I had no clue who was going to take the lead. It was such a close contest! Thank you to all my past clients, their families, and friends for helping us find this years winner.

I can’t wait to do this again with my 2010 couples next year.

For those of who didn’t win, you have until the 15th of December to get 60% off your canvas collection.

I will be contacting the winning couple in the next week! Congratulations again!

CANVAS COLLECTIONS CONTEST | ODDS & END

First off, who doesn’t like free stuff? And secondly, who doesn’t like helping others out? Here’s the deal: I need some art for my home studio, so I’ve been busy designing canvas collections that will be going on one of the walls in my basement studio space. The piece is 60″ x 16″ and it’s made up of different sizes of gallery wrapped canvases. I can never make up my mind when it comes down to choosing which will be the final studio piece, so I figured I’d make it into a contest for my past clients (and their friends). Every piece I designed is from a past wedding this year. I want you to vote for your favorite piece that you think will look the best in my studio, and in the home of the lucky couple that get’s the most votes. Why? Because I’m going to be giving the winning couple a free canvas collection. And to top it all off, each couple will have the option to purchase these canvas collections for 60% OFF! This offer will close on December 15th, and I will no longer be taking orders for the canvas collections until January. If you know any of these people, and you think they would love to have an Andrea Wiseman Photography canvas collection, then go to the poll below and VOTE! VOTING WILL END AT *update* 8 PM OF DECEMBER 11th!
